With a passion for design and architecture, Roger has built a career focused on the perfect balance of aesthetics and functionality in every space. Extensive travel in his early twenties exposed him to a wide range of architectural styles and design philosophies, deepening his appreciation for craftsmanship, proportion, and timeless design.
After gaining experience in the London estate agency sector, Roger developed an in-depth understanding of the property market and what makes a home truly desirable. This foundation, combined with hands-on experience restoring and refurbishing clients and his own period properties in London and the Cotswolds, gave him a strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and finishes, while also honing his project management skills.
Throughout these projects, a recurring challenge became clear: designing kitchens that were both high-quality and suited to the constraints of listed buildings or awkward, confined spaces. Too often, available options were either too generic or far too expensive!
Recognising a gap in the market for bespoke yet practical kitchens, Roger launched The Cotswold Kitchen Company in 2018. His vision was to create thoughtfully crafted, elegant British-made kitchens that combined style, functionality, and accessible pricing.
Today, the business has evolved and rebranded as House of Berkeley. Roger warmly invites you to visit the showroom, a working kitchen within a listed property that demonstrates the craftsmanship, intelligent design, and practicality that define every project.
In partnership with Barnrose, House of Berkeley now offers a complete kitchen service, from initial design and building works to the finished kitchen. This ensures a seamless journey and a space perfectly tailored to the unique character of each home
