Charlbury

Project Description

Working closely with the client and their builder, we were appointed to design and install a new family kitchen within the rear extension. The brief called for a space with generous dining and circulation areas that complemented the home’s architectural features, including the burnt wood-clad façade, expansive glass openings, muted wall tones, and dark oak flooring , resulting in a warm, harmonious interior.

We installed an in-frame beaded shaker kitchen with chrome handles, painted in Farrow & Ball ‘Charleston’, creating a subtle contrast against the oak flooring. Veined quartz worktops were fitted throughout, combining durability with refined texture. A bespoke faux chimney serves as a striking focal point, housing a Rangemaster oven set against an antique mirror splashback. Glazed wall cabinetry was incorporated to enhance light and introduce depth to the space.

At the centre of the room, a purpose-built island was designed for entertaining, featuring an overhang bar and open shelving for books and ornaments. The layout also integrates a dishwasher and recycling bin, while oak dovetailed cabinetry provides generous storage. Separate cabinetry accommodates two fridge freezers and a bespoke drinks cabinet. Each element has been installed with precision to create a kitchen that is practical, refined, and beautifully finished.
